“Powderbuff” is a night when boys in all grades at Mayo High School play volleyball, just like when the girls play “Powderpuff” football in the fall for Homecoming. Since it’s now GOFA season, you should come out and have a good time watching our boys play volleyball.

To participate, you need seven boys, a volleyball player to coach, and a total of $60 to sign up. Each team should have a theme, and their uniforms should match in some way. Teams should wear matching clothes; for example, everyone on the team could wear an NBA jersey or they could all be different characters from Star Wars.

The volleyball tournament takes place on December 11th at 7pm in the Mayo gym. The tournament is double-elimination, so once a team loses two games, they are out. It’s free for spectators, so come out and support all the boys as they attack their volleyball competition.

The organizers of the Powder Buff Volleyball tournament have announced that there is one spot left in the eight-team bracket for the event on Wednesday, December 11 from 8:00-10:30. If you are interested, please contact team captains Corinne Ehrfurth and Lydia Olson.
