UPDATE FOR THIS ARTICLE: Due to inclement weather, the 5K for GOFA has been postponed until December 8th!

Have ever thought you can have holiday cheer while running? Well I’d never thought I would say this but you can! At Mrs. Ekert’s 5k for GOFA!
This Monday you can join Mrs. Ekert at TerraLoco to run a 5k! This 5k has become a tradition at all three high schools during the GOFA season after Coach Kinneberg started it three years ago.
Mrs. Ekert says that, “it’s a great way to get people hyped up for the GOFA season, and you know much I love hyping people up for GOFA.”
The entrance fee is $5, and all proceeds will go to GOFA! There will be different start times for different ability groups, so whatever your own pace is, there’s something a competition level for you. If you prefer a walking pace, arrive at 5:30 pm and start at 5:40 pm. Do you like to jog or run at a slower pace? The slow runner arrival time is 5:40 pm and their start is at 5:50 pm. The “average” paced runners should arrive by 5:50 pm, and their start time is 6:00 pm. Finally, the “fastest” runners arrive at 6:00 pm and start at 6:15 pm.
TerraLoco will have volunteer pacers available for the 5k, so nobody will be running or starting alone! Also any pets who are well trained, vaccinated, and on a leash are invited to come to run along with everyone on the course as well! So come to run, walk, or just to have a good time and record.
