I am Grace Pignolo, one of the writers for the Mayo High School Advocate. I moved to Rochester from Philadelphia a year and a half ago. I love to read novels, write, draw, play piano, and ski. My goals for the future are to attend a college and get a degree in English.

Journalism is important because it is one of the ways people are informed about political, social, and economic situations. It is a platform for people to understand what is happening in the world, and therefore it is critical to shaping knowledgeable citizens. In journalism class, I hope to learn more about Photoshop and how to write so that the audience reading it will be interested in what I have to say.
