At Mayo High School, “GOFA” also known as Give One for All, isn’t just a fundraiser, it is a chance for students to create real change in their community. The student government contributes to the energy and enthusiasm of this change through its plan for dress-up days for each school day in December. This tradition gives students a chance to show off their creativity through fashion and school spirit. At the same time, it reminds everyone about GOFA. When you see the vibrant colors, surprising designs, and inspirational individuality, you can’t help but get caught up in the atmosphere: the spirit of giving in support of the Women’s Shelter and the Dorothy Day House.

Monday 12/1: Pajama Day – Dress up in your comfiest, favorite outfit to sleep in for Pajama Day!
Tuesday 12/2: Why is this in my Closet? – It’s time for you to wear that outfit in your closet that you’ve never had a reason to!
Wednesday 12/3: Harry Potter Houses – Seniors as Gryffindor, Juniors as Slytherin, Sophomores as Ravenclaw, and Freshman as Hufflepuff!
Thursday 12/4: Neon vs. Camo – Deck yourself out in either Neon or Camouflage attire!
Friday 12/5: Adam Sandler Day – Grab the baggiest clothes in your closet and pop out for Adam Sandler Day!
Monday 12/8: Holi-Day – Dress up as your favorite holiday! Whether it be Santa Clause, an old Halloween costume or even an Ugly Christmas Sweater you’ve been meaning to wear!
Tuesday 12/9: Character Day – Do you have a favorite Character? Whether it be a cartoon character or a character from your favorite book, it’s time to put on their best outfit!
Wednesday 12/10: Seasons Day – Seniors dress as Winter, Juniors as Spring, Sophomores as Summer, and Freshman as Fall!
Thursday 12/11: Wicked Day – Are you more like Elphaba or Glinda? Embrace yourself in green or pink for Wicked Day!
Friday 12/12: Jersey Day – Wear a jersey to support your favorite team!
Monday 12/15: Twin Day – Grab a friend, plan your look, and become twins for the day!
Tuesday 12/16: Anything but a Backpack – Who needs a backpack? Bring the wackiest thing you can think of to hold your school supplies for the day!
Wednesday 12/17: Decades Day – Seniors dress as 70s era, Juniors 80s, Sophomores 90s and Freshman as 2000s!
Thursday 12/18: BBQ Dad vs. Soccer Mom – Dress as your best BBQ Dad ready for a cookout, or as a Soccer Mom ready for a game!
Friday 12/19: Spirit Out- Show up in your best school spirit whether it be green, gold or both! Go Spartans!
