Do you want to help our fellow Spartans out this holiday season? If you do, here is a great way to guarantee that everyone will have a happy November and December. 

There is an urgent need for you to give now. The staff in the S.O.S. room, Mrs. Hauger, and Mrs. Trimble are trying to gather enough donations to host a Holiday Bazaar. The hope is that there will be enough donations that it can be a big event, positively impacting many people. The problem is that “if there are not enough donations, we can’t have the bazaar,” Mrs. Haugen said. 

So clearly your generosity will go a long way towards the success of this event. 

The organizers are hoping you will donate “gently used toys, clothing, holiday decor, and small gadgets” that families can give as gifts or use as holiday decorations. See the full list of items in the flyer below. Share the happiness and joy that the season symbolizes with all our Spartan families. You can add to the smiles, comfort, and holiday cheer in others’ lives here at Mayo. 

Bring your donations to Sig (Mrs. Trimble) at Door 6 until the end of November on school days, from 8:30 to 4:00 pm. Parents, staff, and alumni, you may also drop off donations at that same entrance.

Consider the things you have that are in good shape but you would take to Savers or Goodwill; those are the kinds of things that the organizers are hoping you will bring to Door 6 this month.

Often you hear about how it is the season of giving, and so many families have been reaching out, asking how they can do something. Helping to create the Holiday Bazaar is a very tangible way to make a difference in the lives of others.
