Five Athletes You Should Be Following on Twitter

Five Athletes You Should Be Following on Twitter

Brogan Maxwell

Alex Morgan

@alexmorgan13

Morgan is a female professional soccer player and other than offering up sweet corner kicks, she has a great Twitter account. Garnering more than 2 million followers stands as a testament as to how popular she is. She employs a great behind-the-scenes look into her life and her fellow teammate’s lives. She keeps it goofy, fun, and a little serious by conveying her knowledge of soccer onto other games.

Niles Paul

@Niles_Paul84

This NFL tight end has one of the greatest Twitter accounts I have ever looked at. He isn’t a well-known professional athlete, but you should know his Twitter persona. Paul is a professional football player for the Washington Redskins who got knocked out of regular season play during the preseason. This injury desperately hurt the Redskins but it did help his online presence. Being able to have more free time has allowed him to have an active presence online. Niles Paul constantly tweets very short statements that make his Twitter page read philosophically. He boils it down to its basics and it makes for a very enjoyable experience.

Rob Gronkowski

@RobGronkowski

Another tight end makes the list and for a very different reason. Gronk is a very blunt person who says it like he sees it and doesn’t hold back. This personality transcends into his Twitter account where he continues to do just that. He tweets sexual innuendos (if you haven’t, look up his tweet regarding the Broncos), and certainly has fun with it. Gronkowski is a must follow for sheer laughs.

Joel Embiid

@JoelEmbiid

Anytime a professional athlete tweets about sliding into the DM’s it automatically becomes far more comical. That’s what Embiid did in 2014 when he decided to tweet at Kim Kardashian and ask her to slide into his DM’s. He quickly retracted that statement because he found out that she was married. This makes him a man of character and one who spews out classic tweets like this from time to time.

Stephen Curry

@StephenCurry30

Steph Curry is unarguably the best player in the NBA right now. He deploys an almost unfathomable amount of tenacity to score on his own in any way he can think of. Curry also has a great presence online. He is a regular on Twitter advocating for his favorite sports teams and also implements an ability to give fans a behind-the-scenes look into his already great young career.
