On Monday December 16 , Mayo High School is hosting a thrilling dodgeball tournament to support GOFA. The event will be held on December 16th from 6:30–8:30 PM in the wrestling room, and it will cost 5 dollars per person. Organized by Mr Trimble, this spectacle will not only be a fun and competitive experience but also a warm welcome for the new freshmen who may not yet be familiar with this important cause.
The tournament brings together students from all grade levels, including the excitement of freshmen who are eager to make new friends and learn about the school’s spirit of giving.
The teams will be formed with up to 8 to 10 people. The sign up sheets will be outside of Mr. Trimble’s room. Then on Monday, the wrestling room will be filled with energy as students cheer each other on, with the final game showcasing a nail-biting showdown.
Additionally, the tournament also highlights the Dorothy Day House, a local shelter providing support for victims of abuse. The Dorothy Day House offers a safe space for individuals and families in crisis, offering shelter, resources, and emotional support to help them rebuild their lives. By raising funds for both GOFA and the Dorothy Day House.
This event offers another opportunity for students to get involved and support GOFA while having a great time.Thanks to the enthusiastic participation of the freshmen and everyone involved, the GOFA Charity Dodgeball Tournament will be a huge success, helping both the new students and the community.
