Bingo has been a GOFA tradition for many years now! It has helped Mayo reach and over achieve our goal of beating the cross town schools on raising the most money for the Dorothy day house and women’s shelters. Mr. Trimble, an icon for having the most Mayo spirit and a great wrestling coach, has been one of the leaders of this event for many years to come.
If you are interested in participating. You can buy the bingo cards off of student government members holding buckets with candy canes and bingo cards roaming the halls for only one dollar. How do you play? Bingo numbers will be called over the intercom after every hour and if your number is called you cross it off.
There’s more than just one way to win you can get a normal bingo that is four in a row, or four corners, if you have multiple cards you can try and spell the word Mayo for a bigger prize, and lastly a blackout where all the spaces are full. If you do win you can collect your winnings in room 2-224. Bingo is one of the greatest GOFA events getting to compete against classmates and teachers while also raising money for a great cause.
