Want to play a battle royale game but in real life? Well Paranoia is the game for you! Paranoia is taking place at Mayo High School and the game speaks for itself. Students will be assigned the name of a classmate and they will attempt to hunt down their assigned student before being captured by another person assigned with their name.
This a chance to help GOFA raise some funds and overall a great game to end the year with. Although the main purpose of Paranoia is to raise money for GOFA and expose students to what those in the world deal with where terrorism is a constant and common threat.
The rules are simple and clear, you will be required to carry the card that has the name of your student on it. When you are marked, you pass the card to the person that got you. If you tag your person, have them sign your card, and as well have them turn it into Mr. Terpstra who’s room number is 2-103. Then this will officially remove this person from the game. You will then now hunt that person’s student. You can turn the signed cards into your teacher. Make sure the cards are up to date and are accurate.
But wait! There are more rules. The game will only take place on Mayo campus and the activity cannot leave the school building. Classrooms are off limits and considered “safe” areas. The cafeteria , computer labs, the auditorium, gymnasium and the media center are also off limits. If you violate the rules you will be removed from the game and if you have any other concerns please discuss with Mr. Trimble or Terpstra before further conflicts arise. Just know Mr. Trimble has the right to end the game any time if it gets out of hand.
There’s also amazing prizes to this game and that is that you could get $75 for winning, and $25 for whoever has the most tags. Please make sure you get signed up as the registration begins on Monday, Nov 25 till Tuesday, December 3. The payment can be made to your social studies teacher. Pick up names on Thursday, Dec 5. The game starts at exactly 8:45 am after the bell rings on Friday Dec 6.
Have fun! Mess with your friends and as well wish the best of luck to all of you Spartans!
