Christian athletes unite

Quincy Hill, Staff Writer

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is one of the clubs in Mayo High School that isn’t as noticed as most of the other clubs, but that does not take away

from how fun and interesting it is. Every other Monday, Mayo High School athletes get together to play games, eat pizza, and most importantly, talk about how they can live out their faith through sports and their daily lives.

Some people may be put off by the term “Christian” in the title, since our school has students of many faiths and walks of life; however, everyone is welcome and should have a great time. FCA can still be for you; the Biblical messages are strong and can still be understood through a secular outlook.

FCA also has other activities like listening to guest speakers, ringing bells for the Salvation Army, and other fun things like playing games and watching sporting events together. FCA meetings are usually every other monday at 8:00 in the evening, but often the times are adjusted so everyone can make it.

If you are interested in coming to FCA you can contact Mr. Brue, Stephen Douglas, Sophie Butterfass, or Gracie Grimsrud for when and where the next meeting will be.
