The 2017 Winter Olympics are quickly approaching, and the women’s national team is starting to prepare. The games start in two months, on February 9th and go until February 25th. The teams in the women’s hockey brackets start competing on February 11th.  To help get ready, the team is on an eight-game tour, presented by Toyota, featuring our team and their talents on their journey to the 2018 South Korea Olympics. On December 3rd, Minneapolis will get the opportunity to host a game. The national team will face a tough test against the Canadian Women’s National team at the Xcel Energy Center at 3 o’clock. Tickets are still available to purchase for $25 each for the December 3rd game.

So far on the tour, the national team has played Canada three times. They have won two out of the three. They have also defeated Sweden and Finland’s national teams.

Minneapolis is the second-to-last stop for the women’s tour; they play Canada again on December 15 in California. The USA Women’s national team is currently ranked first in the world, and have won seven of the last eight Women’s Worlds Championships. The team currently has 21 members who helped bring gold medals home last year during the 2017 Women’s Worlds Championship game. Come out on Sunday to see them continue their quest to prove they are still the best in the world.
