How to Make the Most out of Grad Party Season

5 tips to make you a successful party go-er in the next few weeks

  1. Clear your schedule

You won’t be successful if you can’t even go to the party! Plan ahead for parties, anticipate what’s to come. Make sure to ask off of work and double check your schedule before you agree to anything else.

  1. Pace yourself

One of the best things about grad party season is the food! You don’t want to fill up on some mediocre snacks if there is a dessert bar waiting for you down the road. Try a little of everything but try to keep the portions small so you can keep enjoying throughout the day. This is especially important if you have multiple parties in one day.

  1. Bring a friend

It’s very important to feel comfortable at a party. Try coordinating the same time you are going to a party with a close friend. Or, if you are unsure of who else is going or if you will know anyone there, feel free to bring along someone. The more the merrier!

  1. Stay hydrated

Hydration is important no matter what you are doing. Time flies when you are having fun, so in the middle of all the parties, you may suddenly be struck with a dehydration headache and realize it’s been 5 hours since you had a glass of water. Pop or other sugary beverages are usually served at grad parties, which is fun but you also need to find time for a glass of water here and there so your body can stay ready for loads of fun!!

  1. Congratulate the host

Don’t forget why you’re there! Make sure to thank the graduate and congratulate them on their achievement. So many people go to grad parties, that unless you actually go up and talk to them, they might not even know you were there!
