Hi, I am Jia Yan Wong, an exchange student from Malaysia. I am a senior and will be here for the semester. I am so excited to join Mayo as an exchange student, trying new things and getting to know new people. This is my first time participating in journalism, and I am looking forward to making it one of the best experiences I will have in the United States. In my free time, I enjoy doing outdoor activities like hiking and camping.

I believe that journalism is a platform for us to provide essential information to the people and most importantly, to let people hear our voices. I hope to improve my photography and Photoshop skills through journalism because I believe a picture is worth a thousand words.
