Every year during GOFA, a competition known as Dr. Mayo excites the crowds and helps push the donation total higher. You could be the next to hold this title.

According to Ella Frank, a member of the Mayo Student Government, upperclassmen can sign up and work to raise the most money for the school by selling various items such as food and crafts. Juniors and seniors must sign up by December 7th, and participants must raise at least $100 each week to stay in the running. All of the students who are participating will be announced after December 7th. The most common way juniors and seniors make money for Dr. Mayo is by selling baked goods such as oreo balls and cookies, so go support whoever has the tastiest treats.

Anybody who is interested in participating can sign up via the linktree on the StudGov instagram. Whoever raises the most is crowned the winner at the final pepfest on December 22nd. All of the money is donated to the Dorothy Day House and the Women’s Shelter.
