We have our third blood drive coming up on Wednesday, May 22 and Thursday, May 23. Please consider donating blood, as it is a worthy cause that helps save up to 3 lives per donation. The Mayo Clinic Blood Donor Center will be “setting up shop” (with the help of our fantastic maintenance department) in the “Mohlke Center” which is rooms 2-254/2-257, top of Door 1 (carpeted meeting room) for these 2 days. Thank you in advance for your donations!

Please also try to promote this blood drive with students. Mayo Clinic schedules these 2-day drives WAY in advance, so Mr. Roberson was unaware that seniors would not be in session for this blood drive at the time of scheduling. That means that it is up to staff, juniors, and sophomores to “pick up the slack” and get that donation room FULL!  Thank you for helping!  If you give anybody the link (see attached flyer, or see flyers around school), they will also be able to register if they are at least 16 years old. Mayo Clinic has a really informative website (http://www.mayoclinic.org/donate-blood-rst/) if you would like to research for yourself, or if you are trying to find information for our students. You do need to make sure you have a photo ID with you at the time of your donation. Your driver’s license or school ID will work.

The sign up deadline ended on Tuesday, May 14. So please consider a “walk-in” donation in the Mohlke Center either day.  Thanks!
